Our low annual deductible keeps more money in your pocket

Recently there has been a lot of talk about healthcare in the news. Whether it’s Congress voting on the repeal of the Affordable Care Act or talk about rising deductibles and premiums facing most Americans, it’s important for you to know how your TeamCare benefit plan stacks up against other health plans.
Most healthcare plans throughout the country, including many TeamCare plans, have an annual plan deductible. A deductible is the amount you pay annually for covered healthcare services before a health plan starts to pay benefits. Plan deductible costs vary greatly depending on the healthcare plan. Fortunately for TeamCare members, your deductible does not apply to all benefits and is incredibly low when compared to what your non-TeamCare neighbors are paying—ask around.
Slightly more than half of all covered workers in the country have individual plan deductibles greater than $1,000, with the average national plan deductible for an individual being $1,478 per year. Compare that to TeamCare, where the individual plan deductible (depending on plan) ranges from $0 to $250 per year. And unlike most other plans, your TeamCare deductible does not apply to certain benefits like your Wellness, Prescription, Quest LabCard, US Imaging (MRI/CT/PET), Dental or Vision benefits.
Unlike high deductible stripped-down health plans, your TeamCare health plan provides you and your family the largest PPO networks available, with access to nearly every hospital and medical provider. Since 1950, TeamCare has maintained low deductibles and has remained an industry leader because we recognize the responsibility given to us to provide our members quality healthcare benefits with low out-of-pocket costs.
