Oklahoma & West Virginia
Effective July 31, 2023, CVS Caremark® implemented the Retail 90 Extended Day Supply (Retail 90) network for prescriptions filled in Oklahoma (OK).
Effective January 1, 2024, CVS Caremark® implemented the Retail 90 Extended Day Supply (Retail 90) network for prescriptions filled in West Virginia (WV).
Here are some additional details surrounding the Retail 90 network:
Short-Term Medications Filled in 30-Day Supplies
- Members can fill short-term medications, such as antibiotics, through the National Retail network, which includes an expansive list of over 68,000 chain and independent pharmacies (Excluding Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Amazon/PillPack).
Maintenance Medications Filled in 90-Day Supplies
- The Retail 90 network is not restricted to CVS retail pharmacies like the Maintenance Choice network design. You will have a wide range of in-network pharmacies available to fill your 3-month supply of maintenance medications.
- CVS Caremark® Mail Service remains an option for filling 90-day supplies of long-term medication if you live in OK and WV.
- Your copay or coinsurance will be lower if you fill your long-term medications as a 90-day supply through the Retail 90 network or through CVS Caremark® Mail Service.
Maintenance Medications Filled in 30-Day Supplies
- There is no penalty for filling long-term medications as a 30-day supply after the second fill at retail like there is with Maintenance Choice.
- You can obtain a 30-day supply of your long-term medications through any provider in the National Retail network of over 68,000 retail pharmacies (excluding Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Amazon/PillPack) if you choose not to utilize the Retail 90 network.
- Your copay or coinsurance will be higher if you fill your long-term medications in 30-day supplies.

Maintenance Medications Filled in 30-Day Supplies
- You can continue to fill maintenance medications as a 30-day fill with your standard copay/coinsurance on an ongoing basis.
- You can obtain a 30-day supply of your long-term medications through any provider in the National Retail network of over 68,000 retail pharmacies (excluding Walmart, Sam’s Club, and Amazon/PillPack) if you choose not to utilize the Retail 90 network.
- Your copay or coinsurance will be higher if you fill your long-term medications in 30-day supplies.
