Prenatal office visits
TeamCare health plans offer a low co-pay for your initial doctor’s visit. Depending on how your doctor bills, there may not be any additional costs for prenatal office visits.
Not every medical test, such as genetic testing, is considered standard medical treatment and covered by your plan. It is important that your doctor checks with the PPO network to see if genetic testing is covered for your diagnosis.
As part of your Wellness benefit, lactation consultation classes are covered at 100 percent with no co-pay, deductible, or co-insurance when services are performed by an in-network provider.
When it’s time for baby’s arrival, whether natural or by C-section, TeamCare covers your hospital bill after your plan deductible is met. If you choose to use a doctor, licensed midwife or certified nurse-midwife at home or in the hospital, TeamCare has you covered. Your specific coverage amount is stated in your Plan Benefit Profile.
TeamCare will pay 100 percent for one manual or electric breast pump per delivery. There is no co-pay or deductible. As you are preparing baby's room, feel free to purchase a breast pump before your delivery. Replacement breast pump supplies that are covered without a co-pay or deductible include: tubing, adapter, cap for bottle, breast shield and splash protector, polycarbonate bottle, and locking ring.

Pediatric visits and immunizations
As your baby grows up, TeamCare's Wellness benefit takes care of routine visits, physicals, and immunizations - all paid at 100 percent - until they reach age 26 for most plans. Check your PBP for coverage.
