Doctor with patient

TeamCare,

I was recently at my son's hockey game when he crashed into the boards and then to the ice. Terrifying! It was reassuring that I had my TeamCare card in my wallet, but my next thought was where can I bring him? It wasn't necessary to go to the ER, but I still wanted to confirm what the medic at the rink said.

I was able to bring him to urgent care for x-rays and to be checked out by a doctor, even on a Sunday. Good to know we have such great benefits available.

Heading straight to the emergency room is an expensive and time-consuming avenue for non-life-threatening issues. With TeamCare, you have many different options in your network that provide access to exactly the level of care you need. The emergency room is always an option, but can be expensive, so keep that in mind next time you need care.
