What does the Vision Benefit cover?

For each covered individual, the Vision Benefit covers an eye examination, lenses, and frames (or contact lenses) according to the Plan Benefit Profile. Members can use in-network providers through EyeMed Vision Care or out-of-network vision benefits. 

How does the TeamCare Vision Network work?

TeamCare Vision is a voluntary network offered through EyeMed Vision Care. Check your specific Plan Benefit Profile (Your Dashboard) for a summary of vision benefits. You can also contact EyeMed at 1-866-723-0514, or visit EyeMed Vision Care for further information.

What are the advantages of using a TeamCare Vision Provider?

The TeamCare Vision network makes vision care more affordable and convenient with more than 24,000 national and independent providers. Set your appointment with an EyeMed vision provider, and they'll handle the rest. All claims will be submitted directly to TeamCare by the provider. 

What are my out-of-network Vision benefits?

There is a maximum reimbursement for out-of-network vision benefits; including exam, frames, lenses or contact lenses in lieu of glasses. Refer to your Plan Benefit Profile (Your Dashboard) for reimbursement ammounts. 

What is not covered under the Vision Benefit?

No. Your Plan does not provide benefits for safety glasses.
